Coconut Oils

Hydrogenated Coconut Oil

Oil obtained from copra, the dried flesh of Cocos nucifera. It is rich in medium-chain fatty acids, particularly lauric acid, and has a melting point around 24–28°C depending on the grade. Hydrogenation increases the solid fraction and stability, producing a fat with functional properties and a higher melting point. Its main uses are in confectionery, bakery products, ice cream, cosmetics, soapmaking, pharmacy and oleochemicals.
