Oil obtained from mature Prunus dulcis almonds. Its fatty acid profile is dominated by oleic and linoleic acids, and it has a light texture and good spreadability. Refining reduces odour, flavour, colour, acidity and impurities, producing a more neutral, stable and versatile oil for industrial formulations. Its main uses are in cosmetics, massage, aromatherapy, pharmacy and selected food applications.
