Oil obtained from Nigella sativa seeds. It typically contains 50–65% linoleic acid and 18–30% oleic acid. Mechanical extraction better preserves the sensory character and natural constituents of the oil, making it suitable for applications that value its original identity. Its main uses are in food supplements, cosmetics and skin and hair care products.
